We do transcription, translation, simultaneous interpretation, subtitling, dubbing and copywriting. It's no big thing. It's a million little things.
WHAT WE DO
We can still learn a few new tricks, but here's what we got really good at so far.
Transcription
We create dialogue lists and transcripts. Short films, courses, interviews, feature films, speeches, interviews and even conferences. You name it. We type it.
Translation
Faithful. Sometimes traitors. Whenever possible, invisible. An art and a service. We strive to go unnoticed so that only the work takes the spotlight.
Spotting
The Achilles' heel of subtitling is to assign the perfect time in, time out and time on screen for each sub. That's what makes an audience enjoy or suffer subtitles.
Proofreading/Copywriting
We draft, proofread and edit commercial, academic and literary texts. We write copy for websites, newsletters and apps in English and Spanish.
Adaptation
We adapt texts for dubbing and subtitling. We adapt slang, jargon and cultural references. Then, chainsaw in hand, we find the shortest, simplest way to say what you want to say.
Subtitling
Mastering subtleties and nuances, dribbling between source and target languages and cultures, following subtitling guidelines and complying with time/space restrictions and always striving for excellence. We just call it "the mile".
